Intensivities: Constructing Privacy in the Urban Margins
Undergraduate studio. Carnegie Mellon University, Spring 2021. Hoàn Kiếm Ancient Quarter, Hanoi Vietnam. This studio explored the idea of urban privacy not as isolation but in immediate proximity with the flows of public life. As the city has developed, private life has been increasingly forced into the public domain, albeit without the support of built form. The tension between a project’s boundaries and the extension of its urban effects by limiting the scale to operations smaller than a building.
